Wendy J. Lems, Esquire

A native of Salt Lake City, Wendy J. Lems graduated from the University of Utah College of Law in 1995, and was admitted to the Utah State Bar in 1996.  Areas of primary focus include Family Law, Pre and Post Marital Agreements, Adoption Law, Juvenile Law, Criminal Defense, Estate Planning (Wills, Trusts, Power of Attorney, Advanced Health Care Directives) and General Litigation and Appellate Practice.  She has previously served as Vice-President for the Women's Lawyers of Utah, and served numerous years on the WLU board and various committees' therefore.  She has presided as a Small Claims Judge Pro Tempore since 2001 and continues to volunteer her services.  Past distinctions include the Reva Beck Bosone Award, the Hinckley Institute of Politics Intern Award, as well as the Certificate of Appreciation for Outstanding Service, State of Utah Guardian ad Litem Program; and had the dubious honor of providing national television legal commentary on the Montel Williams Show regarding a Utah adoption case.  Wendy currently volunteers for a summer camp for disabled children.
